Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your cultural guide will greet you. Transfer to your lodge in Arusha, a colorful city that blends tradition with modern energy. Settle in, enjoy a warm Tanzanian meal, and receive a cultural briefing about the days ahead.

Day 1: Africa Amini Maasai Lodge – Life with the Maasai
After breakfast, journey to Africa Amini Maasai Lodge (approx. 1.5 hrs), where you’ll be welcomed into the world of the Maasai people. Participate in a guided herbal walk, try spear throwing, and learn about cattle-based customs and traditional homestead life. Prepare and share a meal with local women, listen toelder stories by the fire, and enjoy powerful warrior dances at sunset.
Tribe Highlight: Maasai – Renowned for their strength, color, and resilience, the Maasai are guardians of land, livestock, and lore.
Overnight Stay: Africa Amini Maasai Lodge
Day 2: Lake Eyasi – Arrival in Hadzabe Territory
Leave the Maasai lands and travel toward Lake Eyasi (approx. 4.5 hrs), a secluded region rich with both history and culture. Arrive at your lakeside lodge in time to take a gentle walk and watch the sun dip behind the distant hills. Settle in for a cultural briefing on the Hadzabe, one of Africa’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes.

Day 3: Hadzabe Sunrise Hunt & Tribal Life
Rise before dawn and head deep into the bush to join the Hadzabe on a real morning hunt. Learn to use a bow and arrow, track wildlife, and forage for wild fruits and roots. Afterward, return to their settlement to witness daily life—fire-making, storytelling, and traditional music and dance. This is one of the most authentic and raw cultural encounters in all of East Africa.
Tribe Highlight: Hadzabe – Tanzania’s last true hunter-gatherers, living in harmony with nature using ancient survival skills and a unique click language.
Overnight Stay: Lake Eyasi (Tented Camp/Lodge)
Day 4: Return to Arusha – A Cultural Reflection
After a relaxed breakfast, start the return drive to Arusha (approx. 5 hours), passing through small villages and sweeping landscapes. En route, you may stop at a local market or artisan cooperative to shop for handmade goods and support local craftspeople. After lunch, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening departure or opt to extend your stay.
