Arrival in Arusha
Your adventure begins as you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK). Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your professional safari guide who will transfer you to your lodge in Arusha town. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the vibrant streets of Arusha or relax at your lodge, surrounded by the stunning backdrop of Mount Meru. Your guide will brief you on your upcoming safari, ensuring you’re prepared for the days ahead.
PROGRAM
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, you’ll journey to Tarangire National Park, often called the Land of Giants due to its impressive herds of elephants. The park is a sanctuary of ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which acts as a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. The game drive through the park reveals vast herds of elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and graceful giraffes.
You’ll track predators such as lions and leopards in the tall grasslands while enjoying the varied ecosystems—from open plains to dense woodlands. As the day draws to a close, the golden hues of the savannah create a breathtaking scene, perfect for a sundowner.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park
Rise early to embark on an exhilarating drive towards Serengeti National Park, the crown jewel of Tanzania’s wildlife parks. As you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the vistas open up to reveal endless plains, where the savannah meets the sky. The Serengeti is world-renowned for its sheer size and the dramatic wildlife that inhabits it, from roaming herds of wildebeest and zebras to the stealthy movements of cheetahs and lions. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration, an event where millions of wildebeests and zebras embark on their perilous journey across the plains. The sheer spectacle of the Serengeti, with its expansive horizons and prolific wildlife, offers an authentic safari experience.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Today, you’ll dive deeper into the vast wilderness of the Serengeti, one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world. The Serengeti is a predator’s kingdom, where lions, cheetahs, and leopards rule the plains. You’ll embark on thrilling game drives, tracking lion prides lounging in the shade, or watching cheetahs sprint across the grass in their trademark hunting style. The Serengeti’s landscape, from rocky kopjes to river systems, offers prime spots for predator sightings. You’ll also visit areas rich in birdlife, where you might spot vultures circling the skies or large flocks of flamingos near waterholes. Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
After a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, you’ll make your way towards Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. As you ascend towards the crater rim, the views become more dramatic, with the sprawling plains of the Serengeti stretching below.
The Ngorongoro Crater is an ancient volcanic caldera, and the wildlife that thrives within this natural amphitheatre is simply extraordinary. The crater floor is home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo, as well as predators like lions and hyenas, all surrounded by the lush vegetation of this self-contained ecosystem. The landscape changes dramatically as you descend into the caldera, with expansive grasslands, wetlands, and lakes forming a paradise for both wildlife and birdlife.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
This day promises the ultimate safari experience as you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. Known as the “Garden of Eden,” the crater is one of the most biodiverse places on earth. As you drive through this pristine ecosystem, you’ll encounter black rhinos, lions, elephants, and the elusive leopard, all coexisting in this breathtaking natural wonder. You’ll explore the lush grasslands and visit Lake Magadi, a soda lake home to flocks of flamingos.
